Song Biography – “We Are One”
God gave me this song after I returned from a trip to Europe in 2016. While I was there, I was on a bus tour with people from all over the world. I was struck by how we were all the same, even though we looked different from each other. I realised that we share the same desires and dreams, and all long for a hope and a future, for ourselves and for our children.
In the Kingdom of Light, we should be seeing each other with the same eyes. We should not see race and colour. We should see people whom God loves and gave himself for. We are brothers and sisters in Christ. He loves us all equally and it is offensive to Him when we can’t seem to see each other in the same light.
The body of Christ desperately needs to come into unity, especially in South Africa, so that God can begin to pour out His Spirit on us. Where there is unity there is a blessing.
My hope is that God will use this song in the church. As we sing it may the truth of it sink into our hearts and minds, and may we begin to live as a united family with One Hope, One purpose, in One love.
Blessings,
Karah
